Chelsea Sign Victor Moses

Chelsea’s summer spending continued with the signings of Spanish right back Cesar Azpilicueta and Nigerian forward Victor Moses from Olympique Marseille and Wigan Athletic.
Azpilicueta joins for an initial fee of £6.5m while the length of his contract was not revealed by the club. Moses on his part cost the Blues an initial fee of £7m with a further £2m from incentives to Wigan off his time at the Bridge.
Moses joins compatriot John Mikel Obi to make up a Chelsea midfield that also now comprises Frank Lampard, Juan Mata, Eden Hazard, Marko Marin, Oscar, Florent Malouda, Michael Essien, Oriol Romeu, Ramires and Raul Meireles.
Chelsea began its Premier League campaign this season with a 2-0 win at Wigan, a match that has turned out to be Moses’ last for the Latics.
He, and Azpilicueta, will likely not feature however when Chelsea play host to Newcastle United later today.
